    December Highlights

I know its pretty outdated, but I guess we can start the year anytime we want. Been busy preparing for my New Zealand trip, and keeping busybodies out of my way so I can focus on work on hand.

So here I shall present you the highlights of LES VOIX 09, held at the NYP Theatre Of The Arts on 4th December, for the benefit of those who couldn't, or chose not to go. =)

Just to give a short commentary, the first half of songs were mainly serious folk pieces from around the world, and also in different languages.

    Guantanamera (Acappuccino)

We a tad under rehearsed for that actually, but we still sounded decent. =)

Edo no Komoriuta (the whole NYPVE & Alumni)

Edo Lullaby was good, but the video recording couldn't bring out the hair-standing effect we felt as performers. And in case you were wondering where this blogger here is standing, I am the first guy from the left, last row on the risers.

We had a short intermission, followed by VoiceDance combined.

Which was the opening piece for Acappuccino's contemporary set,

Good Ol' A Cappella (Acappuccino, with me on lead)

We all had fun doing this old classic from our repertoire. Ruby was saying there were people who thought the song was great. Well, I thank you people for loving it.

The combined ensemble took the stage with Sting's Fields of Gold (and Every Breath You Take, but I so prefer Fields of Gold and this is my blog yaddah, yaddah.. :P)

Another chilling piece, From There, followed by a heartwarming You Raise Me Up:

(And yeah, I noticed the ensemble looked very tidy and neat in formation for the last song. -_-")

The audience was pretty enthusiastic, so we dug out an old song, and we did Angel.

Pretty much whacked out from the concert, the rest of the month was left to recuperate for us at Acappuccino, and for me to start working to prepare for New Zealand.

    I promise a continuation! Seeya!
